The Concierge & Brand Ambassador is responsible for creating a welcoming, high-energy customer experience while driving guest engagement, brand awareness, and in-store traffic. As the first point of contact for customers, this role plays a key part in supporting sales growth by promoting products, communicating daily promotions, educating guests on the dispensary experience, and encouraging repeat visits.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, sales-driven, knowledgeable about cannabis culture, and passionate about hospitality and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Customer Service

• Welcome guests and create a positive first impression of the dispensary and brand
• Educate customers and assist with general product and service inquiries
• Assist with managing customer flow, wait times, and guest check-in procedures to ensure a seamless experience
• Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
• Monitor the storefront and entrance area to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment
• Drive customer engagement by communicating promotions, featured products, loyalty programs, and upcoming events
• Support sales objectives by encouraging guest participation in promotions and upselling opportunities when appropriate
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash and cashless payments

Brand Representation & Community Outreach

• Distribute promotional materials and support community outreach initiatives to increase store traffic and brand visibility
• Represent the company professionally during in-store activations, events, and street-level marketing efforts
• Support special projects, media opportunities, and promotional events that require brand ambassador participation outside of normal in-store responsibilities

Marketing & Content Creation

• Participate in company marketing initiatives, including promotional campaigns, advertising content, social media activations, photo shoots, and video productions as a brand representative when requested
• Serve as an on-camera representative for the company by appearing in marketing materials, promotional advertisements, social media content, and brand awareness campaigns
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to support the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, content creation initiatives, and seasonal marketing efforts

Product Knowledge & Compliance

• Maintain knowledge of cannabis products, brands, and current market trends
• Ensure all guest interactions and promotional activities remain compliant with New York cannabis regulations

Team Collaboration & Operations

• Collaborate with management and dispensary staff to support daily operational and sales goals

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, customer service, promotions, or brand ambassador roles preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer engagement skills
• Energetic, outgoing, and confident interacting with the public
• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to promote products and services naturally
• Knowledge of cannabis products and culture is a plus
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in New York State
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable participating in promotional photography, video content, social media campaigns, and other marketing-related activities as a representative of the company
• Professional appearance and ability to represent the brand in customer-facing and public-facing marketing initiatives
• Must have reliable transportation or the ability to travel to off-site events, partner locations, and community activations within the NYC metro area as needed.
