Job summary

Lava Island is seeking a go-and-do outreach ambassador to bring families to our park in Illinois. You will visit local businesses and community groups, promote in-park events, and support partnerships to grow Lava Island’s presence in the area.

The role emphasizes evenings and weekend availability, independent field work, and a passion for family-friendly entertainment. Join a lively team bringing joy to local communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role such as hospitality, events, retail, sales, or community outreach.
• Availability for evenings and weekends.
• Living in or near Kildeer, IL.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, work outdoor events, and carry event supplies up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Visit local businesses and places families spend time to promote Lava Island.
• Connect with mom groups, homeschool networks, schools, and churches to share experiences.
• Promote first experiences of Lava Island through targeted outreach.
• Attend farmers markets, fairs, and street events to support brand presence.
• Host in-park events to engage families and partners.
• Maintain relationships with partners and provide updates to the park GM.

Welcome to Lava Island

Lava Island is an indoor play oasis where kids fly across trampolines, dive into foam pits, race down slides, and disappear into towering jungle gyms while families share pizza and celebrate birthdays. It is loud, bright, and full of energy, and it is the kind of place where memories happen without warning.

We are opening new parks every year, and every one of them needs its community to know we are there.

What You’re Really Giving Away

Most companies hope word of mouth shows up on its own. We do too, eventually. In the meantime, we send people out to start it.

What You’ll Do

You take Lava Island into the community and bring families back to the park.

Go and find people

• Visit local businesses and the places families spend time.
• Connect with mom groups, homeschool networks, schools, and churches.
• Give away first experiences of Lava Island in targeted ways.

Show up at community events

• Work farmers markets, fairs, and street events.
• Support local nonprofits in ways that help both sides.

Run events at the park

• Host in-park events that make family time easier and more fun.
• Welcome the families and partners your outreach brings in.

Keep the relationships going

• Follow up with partners so connections last.
• Work closely with the park GM and keep them in the loop.
• Track your activity and share what is working and what is not.
