Job summary

Trench Shoring Company in San Leandro seeks a Branch Welder to fabricate, fit, and repair steel equipment components. The role is full-time, with an hourly wage in the stated range and a focus on quality and safety in a high-volume metal shop.

The welder will set up equipment, read engineering drawings, inspect parts, and document work while supporting production goals and helping train others as needed. A Welder Certification and related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years related welding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Welder Certification Program.
• Expertise in analysis, critical decision making and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates welding equipment to construct parts from components.
• Measures and inspects parts to ensure conformity to engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Supports production goals with welding skills as needed.
• Trains others in skills and quality adherence when requested by supervisor.
• Maintains inventory of welding materials and supplies.
• Completes quality and production documentation as required.
• Keeps a clean and safe work area and supports safety policies.
