Job summary

Kinzler Construction Services in Denver, CO is seeking a Branch Supervisor for the Firestopping Division. This hands-on leadership role requires guiding crews, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while working alongside the team on projects.

You will review drawings, manage daily activities, and ensure UL-listed systems meet specs and codes. A strong background in firestop installations and leadership is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial firestopping experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience installing penetration seals, fire-rated joint systems, perimeter fire containment, and smoke seal systems.
  • Knowledge of UL-listed firestop systems, Engineering Judgments (EJs), and manufacturer products such as Hilti, STI, 3M, Tremco, or RectorSeal.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and work alongside Firestopping crews in the field.
  • Plan daily work, coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and firestop details before work begins.
  • Ensure installations meet UL-listed systems, manufacturer requirements, Engineering Judgments (EJs), and applicable codes.
  • Perform quality inspections and resolve installation issues.
  • Train, mentor, and develop Firestopping Installers on proper installation techniques and safety practices.
  • Promote and enforce OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and Kinzler safety standards.
  • Maintain inventory of firestop materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Complete work order reviews, payroll approvals, and required documentation.
  • Communicate with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Support continuous improvement while modeling Kinzler's Core Values.

Kinzler Construction Services of Denver, CO is looking to hire a Branch Supervisor for the Firestopping Division. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an individual with strong firestopping installation experience who can supervise, coach, and develop field employees while actively working alongside the crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
