Job summary

Monroechamber in Spring Grove, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe / Swiss Lathe Setup & Operator to join a small, growing manufacturing shop. You will set up and operate Haas ST-10 CNC lathes and Star CNC Swiss lathes, read blueprints, perform tooling changes and machine adjustments, and monitor processes to ensure quality.

This role emphasizes independent work in a collaborative environment with a focus on precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement, with a 1st shift 7:00am to 3:30pm

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Experience with CNC Swiss lathes is highly preferred.
• Haas CNC experience preferred.
• Star Swiss CNC experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds, and adjustments.
• Ability to independently complete setups and production adjustments.
• Strong blueprint/print-reading skills.
• Experience with precision inspection and measuring equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a smaller manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas ST-10 CNC lathes and/or Star CNC Swiss lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production specifications
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments
• Set up tooling and workholding based on job requirements
• Monitor machine operation and production processes
• Inspect finished and in-process parts using appropriate measuring tools
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
• Maintain established quality and production standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work independently while communicating effectively with management and team members
• Support production goals and assist with continuous process improvements

Wage: $28.00-$32.00/hour BOE Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe / Swiss Lathe Setup & Operator to join a small, growing manufacturing shop in Spring Grove, IL.

CNC Lathe / Swiss Lathe Setup & Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
