Job Summary:



We are seeking a dynamic Branch Sales Manager for our depot location. This exciting role is set in a customer-focused atmosphere where you will have the opportunity to partner with and coordinate the activities of Independent Distributors' sales routes, engaged in selling and distributing Schmidt Baking Company products and services. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations through a continuous improvement process and by building mutually beneficial business relationships at all levels of our customers' organizations.


We are looking for an individual passionate about delivering 100% Customer Satisfaction by providing high-quality products on a consistent, predictable service schedule. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to collaborate with independent business owners and company associates to achieve common objectives. Ensuring safety and maintaining a safe workplace is paramount.


Primary Job Duties:


  • Plan, assign, and oversee daily routes to ensure customer service excellence
  • Hire, cover routes, and perform management activities
  • Demonstrate effective sales methods
  • Oversee the loading and dispatching of trucks
  • Solicit new accounts and expand business opportunities
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Provide feedback to independent route owners

Experience:


  • Some college education preferred
  • Minimum of three years of sales experience required
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver's license required

Physical Demands:


  • The role is primarily sedentary, involving sitting most of the time
  • Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • May involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items

Education: A high school diploma or GED.
