Job summary

GALLS is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in a store setting to deliver exceptional customer service to public safety professionals. You will engage customers on the sales floor, process transactions, assist with uniform sizing, and help customers choose products to meet needs.

You will work with team members to maintain inventory, ensure a clean, organized store, and provide accurate sizing and fittings. Strong communication and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and/or customer service experience is desired; we will train on processes.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Friendly, honest, and dependable with strong relationship-building skills.
• Solid communication and interpersonal abilities; able to connect with customers quickly.
• Able to operate POS systems and learn new programs; computer proficient.
• Capable of working with little supervision and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly with a smile and respond to needs.
• Replenish merchandise and monitor floor stock for inventory.
• Keep the store clean and orderly through housekeeping tasks.
• Provide sizing, fittings, and measurements for alterations.
• Coordinate with Branch Operations, Sales, and other teams.

• Assist with other duties as needed and be willing to cross-train.

As a Retail Sales Associate in a GALLS store, you must provide exceptional customer service to our exceptional public safety professionals. You will interact with our customers on the sales floor, process sales, assist with uniform sizing, and help customers select the right products to meet their needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Greet every customer promptly, with a smile, and respond quickly to their needs
• Replenish merchandise and monitor floor stock to ensure appropriate inventory is available and neatly presented
• Complete necessary housekeeping to present a clean and orderly store
• Provide sizing, fittings, and measurements for any customer alterations
• Communicate with Branch Operations, Sales, and other Corporate teams
• Commit to our company's PROUD to Serve mission, policies, procedures, and practices
• Other duties assigned as needed, cross-train

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Previous retail and/or customer service experience desired. We will train on all the processes required to succeed in this role.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Friendly, honest, and dependable - you love to connect with people and build relationships
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills - you can develop relationships quickly
• Resourcefulness (you may not always have the answers, but you know where to find them)
• Ability to operate Point of Sale systems, willing and able to learn new programs, and be computer proficient
• Confident working with little to no supervision
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, operate all store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
