Job summary

PCI is seeking a Branch Safety Engineer for its Dallas 114 operations based in Midlothian, TX. The role focuses on promoting safe work practices, administering the Accident Prevention Plan, and supporting safety committees.

You will inspect sites, train staff, and investigate injuries while ensuring timely reporting and compliance with client requirements. The position is safety-sensitive and requires strong communication and physical endurance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in construction safety.
• Must have OSHA 510 Certification.
• Experience conducting safety training.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to convey information to stakeholders.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Local to Midlothian, TX (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture among all site and field personnel.
• Assist with the administration of PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures on jobsites and at the branch.
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities.
• Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating safety and health hazards.
• Ensure safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements.
• Coach employees to achieve compliance with accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety hazards.
• Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to evaluate compliance.
• Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.
• Assist in claim management of work-related injuries.
• Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI.
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and PPE.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least5years’ experience in construction safety
• Must have OSHA 510 Certification
• Experience conducting safety training.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently

Preferred Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety is a plus
• Local to Midlothian, TX
