Overview




As a Branch Relationship Manager I, this developmental position offers a unique opportunity to enhance leadership skills while being mentored by an experienced Branch Manager. The Branch Relationship Manager I is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience and providing clarity, focus, and motivation to achieve branch operational excellence and profitable growth. This is a results-driven position responsible for providing leadership for the operations of a retail branch in preparation for advancing to a Branch Relationship Manager II role.






Responsibilities




    Proactively manages the branch operations and staff, oversees member interactions with staff and resolves member problems and issues (operationally and service interactions) to exceed service expectations.
  • Supports the achievement of the retail branch sales goals by participating as a member of the branch's management team. Assists in ensuring a balance of sales and operational needs of the branch.
  • Builds knowledge and proficiency to balance the branch within established policies and procedures, check scanning, vault settlement, ATM handling, and opening/closing branch procedures.
  • Builds exceptional knowledge in operational tasks such as maintaining the Instant Issue machine (cleaning, adding cards, balancing, and testing), issuing keys/combinations and maintaining control logs, ordering supplies, arranging for equipment maintenance and repair, organizing and maintaining current reference materials, files, and records.
  • Ensures accurate completion of all branch documents including but not limited to, cash shipment forms, monthly cash counts, branch audit certifications, daily system-generated reports
  • Manages a cash drawer while adhering to assigned limits and policies. Ensures all related documents are completed accurately and their cash drawer is in balance daily.
  • Lead and supervise risk and the operations of teller functions to deliver exceptional member service and ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance in teller functions
  • Understands and executes the standard of excellence with Member Experience protocols for all staff members. Works with all staff members to foster a consistently superior member experience.
  • Responsible for creating new deposit relationships, providing a superior member experience and promoting a sales and service culture.
  • In partnership with Branch Management builds and develops a diverse and high-performing branch team. This includes the preparation and delivery of coaching documents and disciplinary action forms.
  • Supports Branch Management in hiring, training, coaching, and evaluation of all staff members resulting in efficient resource allocation, fosters teamwork, and models outstanding member experience.
  • Assists Branch Management in planning, coordinating, and supervising the overall activities and operations of the branch including proper scheduling of staff to ensure the branch achieves the highest level of efficiency.
  • Under Branch Management supervision, prepares and manages the budget for the assigned branch.
  • Collaborates with the Branch Operations Administrator to enhance branch audits, regulatory requirements, cash management, and branch operations
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies and procedures as they relate to particular products and services, including Truth in Savings Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending practices and regulations, and other state and federal regulations that may apply.
  • Acquires and applies skills in preparation for advancement to a Branch Relationship Manager II position.
  • Must consistently report to work on time, as scheduled.

Experience

  • Preferred Years of Experience: 3
  • Comments: Must have prior experience in the financial services industry, specifically branch operations. Previous branch operations management experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of loan and deposit products and services, including but not limited to checking, savings, IRAs, account insurance coverage, account vesting types, branch operations, policies and procedures, and consumer loans (credit cards, personal loans, and auto loans).
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products.
  • Must be results-driven with a customer service focus & possess strong oral & written communication skills.
  • To meet the minimum standards of this position an employee must obtain the following licenses, skills and authorities within six months of entering the position: Notary License, Medallion Signature training and obtain CCUFC certification.
  • Experience using the Symitar system is considered a plus.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties
  • Be willing to be assigned to other branches as needed.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business needs necessitate
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays

Pay Range




USD $30.02 - USD $45.02 /Hr.
