Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) - Convent / San Antonio, TX

We are looking for a dynamic, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) at our new Convent Banking Center in Downtown San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, promote our bank’s products and services, and achieve sales targets.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide full-service banking services to new and existing customers within the banking center, with a primary focus on sales and service.
  2. Process all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner within established authorized limits and other customer service duties within the banking center.
  3. Open new accounts, update accounts, issue/activate ATM cards, originate/close consumer loans, and resolve client services concerns.
  4. Execute the sales discovery process and manage customer relationships.
  5. Conduct assessments with clients to determine their financial needs and make appropriate recommendations.
  6. Make appropriate referrals for other bank products and services, including commercial lending products and follow up with clients as needed.
  7. Execute inside/outside sales calls to prospects and established customers.
  8. Establish, expand, and maintain strong customer relationships by providing extensive, personalized service focused on specific needs of each banking customer.
  9. Support retail objectives/initiatives in capitalizing on business opportunities that directly or indirectly influence the product of revenue and risk of loss.
  10. Perform all duties in compliance with laws, regulations, and bank policies and procedures.
  11. Resolve client concerns through direct personal action or referral to alternative branch or bank resources.
  12. Adhere to the bank’s security policies while maintaining confidentiality of bank records and client information.
  13. Meet with Branch Service Manager and/or Branch Manager daily to discuss progress in reaching individual and banking center goals.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in customer service, banking, new accounts, sales, or other directly related experience.
  3. Previous experience in a financial sales representative-oriented role with knowledge of consumer lending applications processes and procedures preferred.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  5. Knowledge of banking products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment options.
  6. Sales skills and experience, with the ability to identify sales opportunities, achieve sales targets and effectively cross-sell banking products and services to meet client needs.
  7. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify client needs, address inquiries, and resolve issues effectively.
  8. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade clients to consider appropriate banking solutions.
  9. Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Proficiency in basic math and computer skills, including knowledge of banking software and systems.

Hours:

  1. Monday through Friday: 8 AM to 5 PM

This is a full-time position: 40 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible schedule within the hours listed above.
