Purpose:
The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating operations across our Dallas, Oklahoma City, and San Antonio locations. This position will provide operational leadership and support across all three branches, with responsibility for staffing, rental fleet readiness, parts and accessory inventory, technician development, safety, and overall operational performance.
This role is critical to the adoption and execution of company and safety policies and procedures while creating a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and efficiency across the assigned locations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide operational oversight and support for the Dallas, Oklahoma City, and San Antonio branches.
- Maintain core responsibility for service execution and delivery, resulting in enhanced customer service levels across assigned locations.
- Directly oversee technician supervision and deployment through effective planning and scheduling.
- Coordinate staffing and operational resources across locations based on business and customer needs.
- Responsible for the completion and management of Individual Development Plans (IDPs); collaborate with the Regional Service Manager and Training Department to drive workforce planning and technician skill development.
- Ensure technician skill sets and staffing levels meet organizational and branch needs.
- Enforce standards, execute objectives, and hold team members accountable for performance.
- Ensure optimal team performance and capability by providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, development, and corrective action.
- Provide appropriate, relevant, and timely input and recommendations regarding personnel decisions, including hiring, termination, promotion, performance management, and salary administration, to the Regional Service Manager.
- Serve as a local HSE representative and help drive safety performance and accountability across assigned locations.
- Ensure facilities and work areas are safe, clean, organized, and fully operational.
- Ensure regular toolbox and safety meetings are conducted across assigned locations.
- Ensure the timely maintenance, availability, and reliability of the rental fleet for deployment.
- Ensure accuracy of fleet readiness, utilization, inventory, and other related operational information.
- Schedule and coordinate the appropriate and timely deployment of fleet and staff to fulfill customer contracts.
- Coordinate logistics and equipment transfer requests between locations and ensure equipment is prepared and fully functional at the time of deployment.
- Ensure compliance with Mobile Air & Power Rentals standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accountability for key operational performance metrics across assigned locations.
- Requisition supplies, parts, and fleet equipment and ensure accurate receipt and reporting.
- Review work orders and coach technicians on proper execution and documentation.
- Partner with regional leadership to identify opportunities to improve operational consistency, efficiency, and service across assigned branches.
- Travel between assigned locations as needed to support employees, customers, and operational requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent five years of related experience.
- Three years of direct line management experience preferred.
- One year of experience managing technical employees preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing an operations team against measurable performance standards.
- Experience supporting multiple locations, teams, or operational areas preferred.
- Successful experience with financial and operational performance management.
- Conceptual understanding of the technical fundamentals of Mobile Air & Power Rentals’ core activities, including electrical, diesel, and temperature control, preferred.
- Experience with Lean principles, including 5S/6S and other related process improvement methodologies, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel between assigned branch locations as business needs require.
