As a Branch Manager Trainee, you will be placed in a local retail branch and must successfully complete a comprehensive training program. This program will provide you with industry knowledge, customer understanding, and organizational insight. It is designed around branch-oriented and professional development training to prepare you for the challenges of the role. Upon completion, you will be expected to meet and exceed divisional and regional objectives related to fiscal performance, including sales, budgeting, gross margins, and operational expenses. Key responsibilities also include safety, customer service, inventory management, accounts receivable, and personnel issue resolution.

1. Attend and complete all training modules provided by Airgas.
2. Ensure safety, health, and welfare of sales, operations, and all associates.
3. Implement and oversee safety policies and procedures in accordance with regional, SAFECOR, local, state, and federal guidelines.
4. Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
5. Enter customer orders into the computer system accurately.
6. Coordinate with sales personnel to grow market sales and margins.
7. Manage pulling and packaging of customer orders.
8. Handle receiving and inventory as necessary.
9. Conduct pre-calling and daily selection of cash and charge orders.
10. Reconcile cash, bank deposits, open order lists, quote lists, and purchase order reports.
11. Provide prompt acknowledgment and service to internal and external customers.
12. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Are you a MATCH?

• Bachelor's degree preferred; a combination of college training and experience will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work independently.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic product knowledge of welding, safety, gases, and supplies is preferred.
• Understanding of financial accounting terms such as Gross Margin, ROI, Profit & Loss, etc.
• Professional phone skills and forklift experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
