As a Branch Manager Trainee, you will be placed in a local retail branch and must successfully complete a comprehensive training program that provides industry, customer, and organizational knowledge. The program emphasizes branch-oriented and professional development training to prepare you for the challenges of the role. Upon completion, you will be expected to meet and exceed divisional and regional objectives related to sales, budgeting, gross margins, and operational expenses. Key responsibilities include safety, customer service, inventory management, accounts receivable, and personnel issue resolution.

  1. Attend and complete all Airgas training modules for the development role.
  2. Ensure safety, health, and welfare of sales, operations, and all associates.
  3. Administer safety policies and procedures in compliance with regional, SAFECOR, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  4. Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  5. Enter customer orders into the computer system.
  6. Coordinate with sales personnel to grow market sales and margins.
  7. Pull and package customer orders.
  8. Receive shipments as necessary.
  9. Pre-call customers.
  10. Select cash and charge orders daily.
  11. Reconcile cash and bank deposits.
  12. Reconcile open order lists, quotes, purchase reports by item, and selected order edit lists.
  13. Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with SAP, multitasking ability, independent work skills, professional communication, basic product knowledge (welding, safety, gases, supplies), understanding of financial terms, forklift experience, time management, leadership, problem-solving, and administrative accuracy.
