As a Branch Manager Trainee, you will be placed in a local retail branch and must successfully complete a comprehensive training program that provides knowledge of our industry, customers, and organization. This program focuses on branch operations and professional development, preparing you to meet the challenges of the role. Upon completion, you will be expected to meet and exceed divisional and regional objectives including sales, budgeting, gross margins, and operational expenses. Key responsibilities also include safety, customer service, inventory management, accounts receivable, and personnel issues.

  1. Attend and complete all training modules provided by Airgas.
  2. Ensure safety, health, and welfare of all sales, operations, and associates, complying with all safety policies and regulations.
  3. Handle customer inquiries and process customer orders via computer entry.
  4. Coordinate with sales personnel to grow market sales and margins.
  5. Manage order fulfillment, including pulling, packaging, and receiving stock.
  6. Conduct pre-calls, select cash and charge orders daily, and reconcile cash and deposits.
  7. Reconcile open order lists, quotes, and purchase reports accurately.
  8. Provide prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and demonstrate professional communication skills.
  • Knowledge of welding, safety, gases, and supplies is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial concepts such as gross margin, ROI, P&L, and balance sheets.
  • Forklift experience and strong leadership and problem-solving skills are desirable.
