ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Branch Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the branch, with the ability to manage a small‑scale operation and grow it.
- Manages sales in the branch.
- Plans and implements strategies to obtain maximum efficiency of resources and the highest level of profitability.
- Reviews strategies daily and presents and reviews them with managers weekly.
- Hires, trains, and supervises all branch personnel.
- Regularly holds monthly reviews with the branch associates.
- Trains all associates in Silver Service® policies and philosophies.
- Oversees vehicle use in the branch.
- Stays informed on all manufacturer’s products and policies.
- Manages and protects all company assets, including inventory, accounts receivable, and other fixed assets.
- Creates and manages monthly and annual budgets.
- Performs other responsibilities directed by the division and corporation.
ADMINISTRATIVE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervises all accounting functions in the branch.
- Corrects billing and pricing errors.
- Ensures all bills are submitted for payment promptly.
- Matches receipts to statements and ensures their accuracy.
- Submits all accounting items to the division (Salt Lake) promptly.
- Assists accounts receivable in collecting funds.
- Confirms all expenses for accuracy and codes them for budget entry.
- Accurately places orders for inventory and receives orders upon arrival.
- Maintains an accurate inventory.
- Collects time cards and tracks sick, vacation, etc., for each associate.
- Assists in updating pricing on the computer and website.
- Assists in creating programs, catalogs, and website information.
- Orders office supplies and other items needed for branch operations.
- Ensures the branch functions accurately and smoothly to serve customers.
- Performs other items as needed to assist the division.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains a clean work place.
- Performs data entry and various office duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Reach to answer phones.
- Read paperwork, files, and records on the computer.
- Communicate by phone and in person.
- Walk and move about on foot.
- Hear well enough to receive communication by phone or in person.
- Bend body downward and forward by bending at the knees and waist.
- Remain in a standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new computer technology as needed.
- 2+ years of successful business management experience at a branch or other profit center, with profit and loss responsibility.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience and proven sales and customer service success.
- Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Knowledgeable in construction equipment.
