Job summary

Gateway Dealer Network is seeking a results-driven Branch Manager in the Myrtle Beach area to oversee operations, sales and service for a busy equipment branch. You will manage daily activities, coordinate with sales teams, and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of branch management experience in construction, strong budgeting skills, and leadership ability. A BA/BS degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of successful business/branch management experience in construction or related markets.
  • Solid understanding of management techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with business accounting principles and budget prep.
  • Strong organizational skills and results-driven attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all operational aspects including operations, customer service, administration, and sales.
  • Assess local market conditions and identify sales opportunities with the sales team.
  • Manage budget and allocate funds accordingly.
  • Monitor branch equipment inventory levels and meet goals.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Many of the working hours are spent sitting down and working on a computer. Some areas of the workplace may be hazardous and/or dirty; proper safety protective gear should be worn as needed. Answering the phone and speaking with customers and employees. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but is right off the shop floor so can occasionally be loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Direct all operational aspects including operations, customer service, administration, and sales.
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities jointly with your robust sales team.
  • Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Meet goals and metrics and monitor branch equipment inventory levels.
  • Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Share knowledge with other branches and corporate on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
  • Implements corporate policies and initiatives.
  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and the company in the surrounding communities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years’ successful business management experience, within the construction industry.
  • Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity and understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
  • Computer literacy with Excel spreadsheet familiarity.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Results driven and customer focused.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • BA/SA degree and/or equivalent experience would be desirable.
