Job summary

United Community in Locust Grove, GA is seeking a Branch Manager to lead all aspects of daily operations, growth, and profitability of the branch. This role focuses on mentoring staff, driving sales, overseeing lending activities, and maintaining strong customer relationships within the community.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid leadership, communication, and regulatory knowledge, ensuring excellent service while aligning with branch goals and Bank policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years banking experience.
• Consumer/Residential lending experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Good interpersonal communication and supervisory skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Consumer and Small Business Lending Operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Background in financial operating policies and procedures, banking regulations preferred.
• Participate in compliance training including Bank Secrecy Act/AML.

Responsibilities

• Maximize branch revenues, sales, customer satisfaction including CSP scores.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, disciplining, and rewarding staff; manage performance.
• Communicate and monitor goals to staff.
• Assist in creation of and maintaining branch business plan.
• Proactively participate in business development to grow the branch.
• Business calling and sales programs.
• Update and monitor sales activities using 360 View.
• Develop and maintain a diversified loan and deposit portfolio.
• Participate in the community maintaining public relations.
• Implement controls to protect the bank per policies and procedures.
• Serve as chief communicator on topics for branch staff.
• Interview consumer loan applicants and outline loan terms.
• NMLS initial registration and annual renewal is required.

What You’ll Do

• Uses reports and resources as tools to maximize results for branch and staff
• Accountable for maximizing branch revenues, sales, customer satisfaction including CSP (Customer Service Profiles) scores while minimizing operating losses
• Participates in hiring, on-boarding, disciplining, and rewarding staff; responsible for managing performance of all branch employees; coaches employees for optimal performance
• Responsible for communicating and monitoring goals to staff on a consistent basis
• Assists in creation of and maintaining branch business plan
• Proactively participates in business development efforts to grow the branch
• Performs business calling and sales programs
• Updates and monitors sales activities using 360 View
• Develops and maintains a diversified loan and deposit portfolio based on current campaign focus
• Actively participates in the community maintaining good public relations
• Implements controls to protect the bank in accordance with policies and procedures
• Serves as chief communicator on all topics pertaining to and for branch staff
• Interview consumer loan applicants (including real-estate loans) and request specified information for loan applications
• Recommend and outline loan terms
• NMLS # initial registration and annual renewal is required for this role. This process includes fingerprinting and background checks.

Requirements For Success

• Thorough knowledge of Consumer and Small Business Lending Operations, Teller and CSR functions, bank products and services
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

• Ability to adapt to change
• Background in financial operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal), employee development and public relations preferred
• Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position, generally Monday-Friday, that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 25% travel.
