Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with customers and employees to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Develop annual operating budgets for sales and expenses and manage branch performance to meet budgeted results.
Conduct weekly branch evaluations to identify opportunities, set goals, and track progress.
Maintain inventory levels aligned with sales and needs.
Enforce company policies and safety regulations to protect people and assets.
Ensure safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe branch environment.
Delegate, supervise, and inspect tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee daily operations and sales order processes for accurate and prompt handling.
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and development to branch staff.
Set staff schedules and monitor performance with focus on service and invoicing.
Communicate slow/non-moving inventory to Purchasing and assist with disposition.
Process defective and non-stock returns to ensure proper credit and avoid disputes.
Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Maintain and communicate the company action guide for procedures.
Report accidents or injuries to HR promptly.
Maintain branch files and documentation.
Maintain communication with HR on employee and business matters.
Maintain branch appearance and organization.

Position Overview:

The George T. Sanders team is seeking a Branch Manager for our Englewood location!

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch and ensuring the business operates efficiently, profitably, and provides excellent customer service. As our lead HVAC store, this location plays a key role in supporting HVAC sales and customer needs; therefore, knowledge and experience with HVAC products, systems, and applications is highly desirable. This position will lead and develop employees through effective training, communication, and performance management while ensuring the team meets branch goals. The Branch Manager will also oversee financial performance, inventory control, sales, and operational activities. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to make sound business decisions, motivate a team, and drive results in a fast-paced wholesale environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and employees to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Develop annual operating budgets for sales and expenses and manage branch performance to achieve budgeted results.
Conduct weekly branch evaluations with employees to identify opportunities for improvement, establish goals, and track progress.
Maintain inventory levels that align with actual sales and business needs.
Follow and enforce company policies, procedures, rules, and safety regulations to protect employees, customers, and company assets.
Ensure preventative maintenance and safety procedures are consistently followed to maintain a safe and comfortable branch environment.
Delegate, supervise, and inspect work to ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Oversee daily operations and sales order processes to ensure orders are handled accurately and completed promptly.
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and development to branch employees.
Establish employee schedules and monitor performance, with a focus on customer service and accurate invoicing.
Communicate slow-moving and non-moving inventory to the Purchasing Department and assist with appropriate disposition.
Process defective and non-stock returns in a timely manner to ensure customers receive proper credit and prevent billing disputes.
Address customer concerns and resolve problems in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain and communicate the company action guide to ensure employees understand and follow applicable procedures.
Report accidents, illnesses, and injuries to the Director of Human Resources in a timely manner.
Maintain organized and accessible branch files, quotes, records, and other documentation.
Maintain regular verbal and written communication with the Director of Human Resources regarding employee, operational, and company matters.
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the branch.

Additional Responsibilities

Conduct quarterly branch inspections with a member of senior management.
Complete annual employee performance reviews.
Ensure fleet vehicles are properly maintained and operated in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
Represent GTS in local community activities and promote positive relationships that support the company and the local community.
Be available to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Previous management or supervisory experience preferred, with the ability to lead, train, and develop employees.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SXE and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type.
Forklift certification or prior forklift experience preferred.
Strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and make sound business decisions

Working conditions:

Stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and other physical tasks.
Lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Load and unload materials, pull customer orders, and assist with daily warehouse operations.
Operate a forklift and other equipment as required (where certified and authorized).
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, work boots, and gloves.
Loose-fitting clothing, jewelry, and other items that may create a safety hazard are not permitted.
Work in varying temperatures, including exposure to hot and cold conditions inside and outside the warehouse.
Perform additional physical and operational duties as needed to support branch and warehouse operations.
