Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. seeks an experienced Branch Manager to oversee end-to-end branch operations and ensure compliance with laws and standards. You will lead on-site staff, optimize productivity, and drive sales growth while supporting the sales team.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and deep knowledge of freight forwarding across air, ocean, and logistics operations. Travel up to 20% may be required; excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong financial acumen, experience managing P&L.
• Experience across air, ocean, and supply chain/logistics operations.
• Knowledge of market dynamics, competitors, trends, and challenges within the freight forwarding industry.
• Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
• Additional international language skills are a plus.

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

SUMMARY:

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end processes and operations within the branch location. Must ensure adherence to all laws and legal regulations, provide excellent customer service, manage on-site staff, optimize productivity, grow the business, monitor all financial matters and support sales staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Financial Management: AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable) and FSL (Forward Stocking Location).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The incumbent will directly and/or indirectly supervise up to 50 employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable operational plans and drive execution.

• Proven leadership and people management experience, including recruitment, training and development, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both open and confidential settings.

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 20%) required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
