Fulton County Government is seeking a Librarian Principal to manage the FAIRBURN BRANCH, oversee staff, and lead outreach programs. The role requires a MLS and several years of Librarian experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities include budgeting, policy development, community outreach, and ensuring high-quality service aligned with library goals and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science with four years of professional Librarian experience, including two years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Professional Librarian certification issued by the State of Georgia within six months of employment.
• Ability to apply county or departmental policies and procedures to library operations.
• Veterans’ preference provides for an interview invitation for qualifying veterans.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and volunteers; hire/discipline decisions and performance appraisals.
• Organize and manage branch operations, budgets, and schedules.
• Develop outreach services and partnerships to promote library programs.
• Ensure compliance with laws/regulations and department policies.
• Provide regular progress reports to management.
