Job summary

Mariner Finance is seeking a capable Lending Operations Supervisor for our Fort Irwin, CA location. You will review and approve loan applications, manage branch staff, coach team members, and build community relationships to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services industry.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience or recent lending training program.
• Bachelor’s degree or military rank as stated.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office or similar programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties in a timely, accurate manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, project leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Must obtain licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch.
• Work at assigned branch location except emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Exercise lending authority when reviewing and approving applications and offering loan solutions.
• Manage retention and maintenance of existing accounts, including lending and collecting, to meet targets.
• Coach branch staff with actionable feedback to achieve goals and reduce turnover.
• Prepare and submit reports reflecting branch activity and growth.
• Develop business by networking with local establishments and building community relations.
• Implement internal branch auditing procedures and control negotiable items and records.
• Approve exceptions to policy based on needs, retention, and related factors.
• Monitor monthly expenses using the annual business plan.
• Investigate and resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints.
• Attract high-quality talent, interview candidates, and advise management on vacancies.
• Participate in meetings and training to stay current with trends.
