Job summary

Down to Earth, a leading landscape and irrigation company, seeks a Branch Irrigation Manager to lead all irrigation services for the branch, ensuring quality installation, maintenance, and repairs. You will supervise crews, manage schedules, and drive safety and profitability.

You will partner with account managers and leadership to deliver reliable irrigation solutions, support client needs, and identify opportunities to upsell or enhance services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical irrigation training preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on irrigation experience including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience leading or supervising field-based or service teams.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, pumps, valves, wiring, and water management.
• Ability to read irrigation plans, diagrams, and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication to lead teams and interact with customers professionally.
• Proficiency with scheduling tools, timekeeping systems, and basic business software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including seasonal peaks and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all irrigation operations for the branch, including installation, maintenance, repairs, inspections, and seasonal services.
• Lead, train, and supervise irrigation supervisors, technicians, and crews to ensure quality workmanship, productivity, and safety.
• Plan and schedule irrigation work to meet service timelines, seasonal demands, and customer expectations.
• Ensure irrigation systems are installed and maintained according to design specifications, local codes, manufacturer standards, and company policies.
• Monitor job performance, labor utilization, materials usage, and costs to support branch profitability goals.
• Partner with account managers and branch leadership to support client site visits, resolve service issues, and identify upsell or enhancement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental and water conservation requirements.
• Oversee inventory, tools, and equipment related to irrigation operations, including maintenance and repair coordination.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting related to irrigation services.
• Assist with estimating and proposal development for irrigation projects and repairs as needed.
• Performing other tasks as assigned
