Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Branch Engineer to support sales, design and project activities, with emphasis on project engineering. This role blends technical engineering, project coordination and hands-on site support to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities include developing crane layouts and rigging drawings, using AutoCAD, Inventor and related tools; reviewing field conditions; assisting field crews; and providing technical guidance to Project Managers. ABET-aligned degree required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited 4-year degree with GPA ≥3.0.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Strong communication skills.
• MS Excel proficiency.
• MS PowerPoint proficiency.
• MS Word proficiency.
• Mathematical skills and reasoning ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop crane layouts and rigging drawings for lift plans.
• Create drawings for heavy transportation and lifting projects.
• Use AutoCAD, Inventor, Mathcad and RISA to develop solutions.
• Assist Sales with field walk-downs and prep of equipment lists.
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents on sites as issues arise.
