Job summary

AAA Central Penn in Harrisburg, PA is hiring a Branch Customer Service Specialist to provide face-to-face support, assist with memberships, and manage PennDOT services in a fast-paced branch setting.

You will greet members, handle inquiries, and promote AAA products while ensuring high standards of service. Notary training is offered; background checks will be completed as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or sales experience is a plus.
• Willing to become a Notary Public in PA within 12 months, with guidance.
• Able to pass a PA State Police background check for PennDOT services.
• Strong communication skills when helping customers in person, on the phone, or online.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting members and providing personalized support in a branch environment.
• Drive membership growth and retention through new memberships, renewals, and account updates.
• Handle everyday member services, including maps, TripTiks, EZPass, and retail merchandise transactions.
• Provide specialty services such as passport photos, International Driving Permits, and foreign currency handling.
• Expand skills by becoming a Notary Public (AAA supports the process).
• Complete PennDOT services, including title transfers, registration, and licensing transactions.
• Connect members to AAA Travel Advisors and Insurance Agents for right solutions.
• Promote AAA products and services by identifying opportunities to enhance member experience.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service or sales experience is a plus
• Willing to become a Notary Public in PA within 12 months (we’ll guide you through it)
• Ability to pass a PA State Police background check for PennDOT services
• Strong communication skills when helping customers in person, on the phone, or online
• Good listening skills and ability to make helpful decisions
• Comfortable adapting to new situations in a fast-paced environment
• Basic comfort using computers and multiple systems
