JOB SUMMARY
Branch Coordinators positively impact patients and caregivers by phone and in person, delivering excellent customer service. They ensure orders are processed accurately and timely, and secure necessary documentation for billing health insurance plans. Salary range: $19.60 – $20.96 hourly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as first point of contact for patients arriving in person.
- Answer inbound calls on a multi‑line phone system, provide information, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with the branch team and other departments.
- Process branch tasks: create new orders, review multiple systems, confirm delivery appointments, verify insurance, obtain authorization of equipment, monitor incoming faxes, and perform data entry.
- Collaborate with sales, referrals, and patients to gather documentation required by insurance guidelines.
- Request health plan authorizations electronically or verbally.
- Review new and recurring patient accounts, obtain referral documentation, and bill health insurance plans to maximize patient benefits.
- Collect credit card payments and billing information, reconcile daily receivables, and submit to the lock box.
- Conduct outbound customer satisfaction calls to patients and referrals.
- May perform downloads of recording devices, apnea monitors, oximeters, CPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment, and may conduct functional tests on certain respiratory devices.
- Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related work experience.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Proficient working across multiple systems simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
- Intermediate math skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least two years’ experience in an office environment, healthcare setting, or call center.
- Experience utilizing a multi‑line phone system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent use of hands for writing and operating computer or handheld devices.
- Regular reading and writing of documents.
- Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
