Job summary

Farmers National Bank is seeking a customer-focused Teller to open, maintain and close accounts, process transactions and generate referrals for new business.

You will balance daily cash, handle negotiable instruments, and provide superior service while assisting other tellers with sales and cross-selling opportunities. Prior cash handling and retail banking experience preferred. Notary duties may apply if credentialed, and adherence to all bank policies is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year retail banking experience including cash handling.
• Previous supervisory and sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open, maintain, and close accounts; generate referrals for new business opportunities.
• Balance cash drawer daily; resolve discrepancies and report them if needed.
• Sell money orders, official checks, and collect applicable fees.
• Process teller transactions and assist other tellers with sales and referral techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service and cross-sell bank products and services.
