Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Troy, Ohio is seeking a Brake Value Stream Machinist to set up and machine quality parts, perform in-process and inspection checks, and move materials to maintain workflow. The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday, 3 PM–11 PM, onsite.

Responsibilities include reading SOPs and process sheets, setting up tooling, and ensuring parts meet specifications while supporting continuous improvement activities. Requires basic math and pre-employment qualification tests.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year CNC experience or completion of a machining certificate or degree.
• Experience working with routings, blueprints, Engineering process specifications, written work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow standard operating procedures, engineering process sheets, and manufacturing specifications.
• Pre-set tooling as needed for the job.
• Set up equipment using routings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Machine components on assigned machines and inspect for blueprint compliance.
• Attend training classes, cell meetings, and perform other tasks assigned by management.
• Perform mathematical calculations as required and pass a pre-employment qualification test.
