Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Brake Validation Engineer to plan, execute, and validate brake system tests, including challenging ice driving scenarios. You will support integration of brake, traction, and stability systems and work with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and iterative validation across the product development cycle in a dynamic, federal-contract environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with DVP-R and certification testing using data acquisition systems.
• Experience setting up test equipment, executing vehicle tests, and processing post-test data.
• Specialized driving expertise in ride, steering, handling, and limit handling; comfortable in extreme conditions (ice).
• Proficient with CANalyzer and diagnostic tools (CDA preferred).
• Availability for overtime and frequent testing trips (10–50%).
• Proactive and facilitative mindset with strong adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DVP-R and certification tests using advanced data acquisition systems.
• Set up test equipment, execute vehicle tests, and process post-test data for validation.
• Perform driving evaluations, including ride, steering, handling, and limit handling (75% of role).
• Utilize CANalyzer and diagnostic tools for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Support calibration and integration of brake, traction, and stability control systems.
• Contribute to the design, release, and validation of brake components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety and certification standards.
