Job summary

Goodyear is hiring for an immediate opening in Springfield, MO for a Brake Technician/General Maintenance Technician. The role involves servicing delivery vans at client sites, performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, brake work, and tire services to ensure reliability and safety of vehicles.

Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with potential for growth. Training may occur in a retail environment before client site work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Service delivery vans for scheduled preventive maintenance at client sites.
• Perform line technician services: oil changes, tires, inspections, diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges, and tire installation.
• Learn and train to perform advanced repairs and state inspections.

Starting pay for the market: $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr (Based on experience)

Work Location: 2625 S Glenstone Springfield, MO 65804-3711

Shift Information: 8 am to 6 pm

About the Role: What will you do?

• Servicing delivery vans for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site
• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation
• Learn/train to do advanced repairs and state inspections
• Training for this role may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance
• Valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ASE Certification (s)
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
