Job summary

Elkay is looking for a skilled Brake Press Operator for their facility in Caddo Mills, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for bending sheet metal to design specifications, ensuring defect-free production.

Job Summary

Brake Press Operator – CNC. Responsible for bending sheet metal to design specifications ensuring defect‑free production.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Shear and/or Press Brake for routine work.
• Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
• Load, install, and correctly set up tools required; set machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Safely operate forklift to handle materials.
• Grind finished product for sandblasting.
• Perform assigned work within time standards and quality expectations.
• Work in fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining, adjust controls to maintain quality.
• Report all machine malfunctions to Management.
• Cross‑train and perform other job tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Maintain clean and orderly equipment and work area; perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Suggest and implement improvements.
• Complete all required safety procedures before and during operations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ CNC break press experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy weight.
• Squat, kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward.
• Stand and walk 1–12 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.
• Work in non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
• Work in fast‑paced industrial environment wearing vision and hearing protection and other appropriate protective clothing.

Working Hours

General shift: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Hours may be adjusted to meet production needs.
