Job summary

Armada Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator for 1st shift to join our Ohio manufacturing team. The role involves setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and production specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year degree or 5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation is essential.
• Experience with brake press or metal fabrication is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal bending processes.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Basic math skills including measurements and angles.
• Familiarity with CNC controls and programming is a plus.
• Great attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Set up and operate press brake equipment.
• Install punches, dies, and tooling.
• Position and align sheet metal for bending.
• Program CNC controls (bend angles, pressure, back gauge).
• Monitor operation and adjust as needed.
• Measure and inspect finished parts for specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot production or equipment issues.
• Check finished products for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Follow safety and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
