Job summary

Graepel in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Brake Press Operator to set up and run a CNC brake press for metal fabrication. You will read blueprints, inspect parts with measuring tools, and work with a team to meet production targets.

You will ensure part quality, operate safely, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and hands-on operation and setup of CNC brake press for metal fabrication.
• Set up and operate machines to manufacture Graepel parts.
• Read and analyze work orders, parts, and blueprints.
• Use company-supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability.
• Understand metal fabrication processes and concepts.
• Set up metal fabrication machinery to produce "0 defect" parts.
• Complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.
• Work a schedule determined by supervisory management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Hours Monday-Thursday 6 am to 230 pm; Friday 6 am to 12 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Brake Press Operator will primarily be involved with the setup and operation of a CNC brake press for metal fabrication.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

• High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.

Experience:

• Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.


• Ability to read blue prints and understand functionality of parts and their components.


• Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication preferred.


• Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.


• Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
