Forms+Surfaces in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will form aluminum and stainless steel using a hydraulic brake press, inspect parts, and adjust processes to meet exact specifications.

Requirements include reading drawings, selecting tooling, holding tight tolerances, and readiness to work overtime. Safety and accuracy are essential to our production flow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience reading drawings and selecting proper tooling.
• Experience operating brake presses or CNC/heavy machinery.
• Ability to hold close tolerances and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, select tooling, and hold parts within tight tolerances.
• Operate hydraulic brake press and adjust speed/material flow for quality.
• Perform spot inspections and document results; ensure customer specs.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; overtime as needed.

Sunday - Wednesday: 3pm - 1:30am

Wednesday - Saturday: 3pm - 1:30am

Job Description:

The experienced Brake Press Operator we seek must have a strong safety focus and technical aptitude, as well as a strong work ethic, adaptability and eye for detail. You’ll produce parts for assembly operations forming aluminum and stainless steel using a hydraulic brake press, performing spot inspections of parts and adjusting speed and material flow to ensure top quality and meet our customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prior experience with reading drawings, selecting proper tooling, and holding parts within close tolerances is essential
• Prior experience running a brake press/CNC or heavy machinery is required; programming experience preferred
• Employee must be able to use both hands to control equipment and material used in the production process
• Ability to perform reading, writing, and math functions
• Basic computer navigation and data entry skills
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds
