Job summary

Paycom - ATS Anderson, SC is seeking a skilled machinist to operate multiple machines and produce precision metal parts. You will read drawings, set up your own setups, and follow engineered specifications.

You will work under moderate supervision, maintaining quality and safety standards while supporting production goals. Prior CNC or manual machine experience is preferred.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, operates a variety of machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose equipment to machine metal work pieces to specification on a production basis.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Performs a variety of tasks on a variety of machines.
• Works from engineering drawings or rough sketches.
• Sets up own machining work.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A thorough knowledge of machining techniques, materials, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is required. Ability to read precision measuring tools is also required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or specialized training. Prior CNC or Manual Machine experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required.
