Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Pittsburgh is seeking a Brake Operator (Second Class) for the shop. The candidate will set up dies and perform work on a power brake with capacity under 1000 tons, and must read and interpret blueprints with minimal supervision.

A simple bending on bar stock and pipe or a two-stroke operation on one piece may be performed by Wage Group 1 or 2 operators when first set up by qualified personnel.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Set up dies and perform work on the power brake (<1000 tons).
• Experience with machine operators or Wage Groups for simple tasks may apply with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up dies and operate the power brake for production tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints as required for parts.
• Work with supervision, rotate between 1st and 2nd shifts every two weeks.

Job Opening Pittsburgh Shop Brake Operator (Second Class)

Shall have the ability to set up dies and perform all types of work generally done on the machine in the company’s plant on a power brake with a capacity less than 1000 tons. He or she must have the ability to read and interpret all types of blueprints and drawings required for such work with a minimum amount of supervision.

(However, a simple bending on bar stock and pipe or a two-stroke operation on one piece of material not requiring measurement may be performed by any of the company’s machine operators at their wage rate, if first set up by the power brake operator or other qualified Wage Group 1 or 2 employees.)

Rotating 1st and 2nd shift every 2 weeks

$20+/ hour based on experience
