Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Oklahoma is seeking a Brake Press Operator to bend trapezoids into pole shafts, align and measure materials prior to bending on the press brake. You will enter data into the CNC/Press Brake system and ensure accurate reporting through shift data.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic Math, and adherence to quality standards. Starting pay includes a night differential and opportunities for pay increases after 90 days and six months.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired or graduation from an accredited trade school.
• Able to program and re-set the Press Brake, trouble shoot operating malfunctions and be well versed in operator’s maintenance of the equipment.
• Able to read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance and use them to properly lay out and bend required product.
• Knowledge of quality requirements and standards.
• Ability to prioritize work in order to complete deadlines. Must also be able to work through problem with the minimum amount of assistance from the lead person or the supervisor.
• Ability to work timely and expeditiously to deliver an on-time result without errors.
• At the end of 90 Calendar days the candidate must be able to maintain an acceptable level of production, quality and attendance as determined by Management.

• Accountable and responsible for essential tools and equipment provided along w/ the maintenance of these tools and equipment.
• Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures.

1st shift - Monday to Thursday from 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM

2nd shift- Monday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 4:30 AM

4th shift - Friday thru Sunday from 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Starting Pay: $26.24/hr with a $2/hr night shift differential. Pay increase at 90-day and 6-month anniversary.

Basic Function

The incumbent will operate a brake to bend trapezoids into pole shafts. This person will align and measure materials prior to bending with the press brake.
