Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake, suspension, and alignment systems and to install parts in a fast-paced store environment. You will work with customers to explain repairs and follow company policies.

The role includes on-the-job training, quality workmanship, test driving vehicles, and supporting team members. Competitive hourly pay, quarterly bonus, and full benefits are provided to eligible employees.

• Valid driver's license required and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and power steering parts.
• Test and install batteries and diagnostic components.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and handle TPMS components.
• Utilize service tools and equipment and assist other staff.
• Test drive vehicles and operate service vehicles for offsite work.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services

Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment
• frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
• frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing

Pay and Benefits:

$16.50 - $26.45
