Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is hiring Brake & Alignment Technicians to service brake systems, suspensions, and alignments with a focus on quality and customer care. Responsibilities include tire work, TPMS calibration, battery testing, and on-site road service support.

Training is provided on the job. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, with a fast-paced environment and strong teamwork expectations.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components;
• Testing and installing batteries;
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components;
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools;
• Assisting other employees;
• Test driving vehicles;
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services;
• Provides excellent customer service;
• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience: Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license;
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment;
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds;
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.
