Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Center in Pierre, SD is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake, suspension, and alignment components. Duties include installing brake systems, rotations, TPMS work, and offsite road service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualified candidates will have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, and work in a fast-paced environment. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems and components.
• Perform suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering work.
• Test and install batteries, dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies; rebalance wheels.
• Replace, rebuild and/or recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools; assist other technicians.
• Test drive vehicles; operate service vehicles for offsite/emergency road service.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.
