Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Lynwood, CA is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components, and to deliver outstanding customer service. You will work on hydraulic/electric brake systems, test batteries, handle tire mounting and TPMS tasks, and assist teammates with test drives and offsite service.

Valid driver’s license and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, occasional up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drivetrain, and power steering components.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use hand tools and equipment; assist other employees.
• Test drive vehicles and operate service vehicles for offsite/road service.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.
