Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician in Helena, MT. You will install and service brake systems, alignments, and suspension components with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Duties include battery testing, tire mounting, TPMS work, and test drives.

The role requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds, operate service vehicles as needed, and work in a fast-paced retail environment. On-site opportunities with comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and power steering parts and components.
• Test and install batteries.
• Disassemble/reassemble tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools.
• Assist other employees.

• Refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• Testing and installing batteries
• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• Assisting other employees
• Test driving vehicles
• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services
• Providing excellent customer service
• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Pay and Benefits:

$14.85 - $24.50 For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:
