Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences' Houston Psychosis Research Center seeks a Research Assistant to support brain imaging, neural modulation, and biomarker research aimed at understanding the causes and improving treatments for schizophrenia, depression, and other psychiatric conditions.

Under general supervision, you will assist with laboratory tasks, manage data, and help ensure safe, compliant operations while learning cutting-edge clinical neuroscience tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; may substitute required education with equivalent years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments and activities to support research objectives.
• Collect, organize and prepare research data for principal investigators and other researchers.
• Maintain clean laboratory equipment and work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Order laboratory and/or other supplies as directed by senior research staff.
• Coordinate the work of technicians to ensure efficient, timely and high‑quality results.
