Job summary

Nudge is seeking a Histotechnologist to own histology workflows focused on rodent brain tissue. You will build the full pipeline from perfusion to imaging, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and immunohistochemistry, across traditional and advanced techniques.

You’ll collaborate with research scientists to adapt tissue processing for experimental questions, develop SOPs, and optimize clearing and imaging for high-resolution brain studies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in histotechnology.
• Experience processing rodent brain tissue.
• Proficiency with microtomy, embedding, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute histology workflows for rodent brain tissue, including perfusion, prosection, embedding, sectioning, staining, and imaging.
• Operate and optimize histological staining platforms (manual and automated) and immunohistochemistry.
• Manage tissue clearing platforms for whole-brain and thick-section imaging.
• Prepare cleared tissue for light sheet microscopy and 3D imaging.
• Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for histological workflows.
• Collaborate with research scientists to tailor tissue processing to experimental questions.
