Job summary

The Mavrikaki Lab at Beth Israel Lahey Health’s BIDMC/HMS group seeks a junior Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead high-impact studies on brain aging and cognitive decline. The role integrates spatial transcriptomics, multi-omic approaches, and in vivo mouse models to map pathways regulating age-related cognition.

Responsibilities include multi-omics profiling, in vivo rodent experiments, and mentoring; strong communication and collaboration are essential to advance manuscripts and grant ideas

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, or related field (0–2 years postdoc).
• Experience with rodent stereotaxic surgeries and aging research is highly preferred.
• Strong publication record with first-author papers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute multi-omics pipelines (including spatial transcriptomics and bulk RNA-seq) with tissue validation assays.
• Lead in vivo rodent studies using stereotaxic viral deliveries, targeted manipulations, and behavioral phenotyping for cognition.
• Contribute to in vitro target validation and develop functional assays for candidates.
• Mentor junior lab members and contribute to manuscripts, data presentation, and grant development.
