Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate from the National Federation of the Blind in literary Braille transcribing preferred.
• Braille proficiency demonstrated.
• Must travel to multiple school locations daily.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe Braille documents from teachers for students.
• Assist in materials production for Braille/large print when needed.
• Produce Braille and tactile graphics for classroom materials.
• Use Braille translation software to convert printed materials to Braille.
• Use tactile graphics technology to create raised line drawings for lessons.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in materials distribution.
• Collaborate with staff, teachers, parents, and guardians.
