Qualifications

• Proficiency with Braille Codes used in vision programs (UEB/EBAE, Nemeth, Music Codes).
• Knowledge of tactile graphics production and formatting rules.
• Ability to operate Braille/tactile software and embossers.
• Ability to enter braille via computer, Perkins, slate, and stylus.

Responsibilities

• Produce brailled instructional materials per Code rules with contractions and formatting.
• Coordinate with vision teacher to procure materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Proofread embossed/tactile material and prepare materials for distribution.
• Assist with organizing and managing braille-related tasks and equipment.
