Employnet Workforce Management is seeking a skilled Braider Operator for the third shift in Mansfield, TX. This onsite role offers $20.25/hr with a $2 shift differential and entails mandatory overtime.

As a production worker, you will operate NEB, OMA and/or TMW braiders, monitor quality, set up equipment, document measurements, and maintain a clean 5S workspace while adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Production experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work third shift and mandatory OT.

Responsibilities

  • Operate NEB, OMA and/or TMW 24/36 braiders and monitor for product quality.
  • Pull tooling and materials per specifications (springs, braid rings, tube guides, bobbins).
  • Set up machines per specifications and adjust components (braid ring height, deck/puller gear).
  • Measure OD and pitch on process charts; document results.
  • Run braided hose through wash tank and stage for inspection.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area following 5S and safety guidelines.
  • Report production issues to Direct Lead; perform duties as required.

Pay: $20.25/hr + $2 shift differential

3rd shift (11:30 PM - 7:30 AM) - (Mon-Fri) - MANDATORY OT

SUMMARY OF POSITION
  • Operate either the NEB, OMA and/or TMW 24/36 braiders and monitor for proper product quality
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Pull tooling and materials according to manufacturing specifications for applicable machine(s), such as springs, braid rings, tube guides, wound bobbin, core tube, etc.
  • Inspect tooling before using and track material used in WW3 system and Braider Logs
  • Set up applicable machine(s) according to manufacturing specifications (braid ring height, install tube guide, change deck/puller gear, unload/load carriers, unload/load bobbins, etc.) and mark defects/new preforms with the correct tape color
  • Measure and record OD and pitch on Hose Process Chart (SPC)
  • Run braided hose through wash tank and stage in hose coiling area for inspection
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5s practices
  • Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
  • Report production issues to Direct Lead
  • Perform work of an equal or lower classification

  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
  • Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
  • Other duties may be assigned at a later time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education required:

High School diploma or GED

Experience:

Production work preferred but not required

  5. Must be able to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications.
  6. Ability to use and interpret measuring instruments (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, etc.)
  7. Must be able to demonstrate ability to operate department equipment (i.e. NEB braiders, TMW, OMA braiders, etc.)

Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • The employee may be subject to: High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.
  • Physical hazards from operating machines
  • Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)
  • Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
  • Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
  • Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
