Job summary

Sporty Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support and optimize payment operations across Latam, focusing on monitoring, efficiency, and compliance.

You'll work with local PSPs and banks to resolve issues, analyze payment behavior, and drive improvements in payment flows. The role requires strong analytical skills, English and Spanish fluency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
• 2–3 years in payments or fintech environments.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Understanding of payment systems, funds flows, reconciliation.
• Experience with PSPs or gateways preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payment processes, including deposits, withdrawals, refunds, reconciliations, and customer queries.
• Collaborate with local payment providers and banks to ensure timely resolution of transaction-related issues.
• Monitor transactions in real time to detect, investigate, and elevate suspicious or fraudulent activity.
• Assist in analyzing customer payment behavior and trends to recommend improvements in payment flows and methods.
• Contribute to operational enhancements by documenting workflows, SOPs, and process improvements.
• Support the integration and testing of new payment technologies and solutions.
• Ensure all payment operations comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Provide timely support during system downtimes or payment-related incidents to minimize customer impact.

About the role

You will work closely with local third-party payment providers, internal stakeholders across operations and customer service, and customers to ensure seamless payment processes, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll bring

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with external partners
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
