Job summary

Minnetonka Public School Service Center seeks a 2026-27 BPA Co-Advisor at Minnetonka High School (MHS). The role supports the BPA program, advises students, and coordinates enrichment activities with the District’s Student Activities Office.

The position requires supervising student behavior, planning seasonal activities, and ensuring compliance with district policies and league rules. A positive learning environment for participants is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the assigned activity.
• Familiar with the District Student Activity and Athletic Code.
• Familiar with applicable policies.
• Ability to manage and supervise students.
• Ability to plan and schedule activities.

Responsibilities

• Advise student participants in skills for successful performance.
• Manage and supervise student behavior during activity events.
• Responsible for advising/coaching an enrichment team.
• Provide a positive learning environment for student participants.
• Plan and schedule seasonal activity in accordance with District policy.
• Assume primary responsibility for scheduling and preparation of area/facility for events; coordinate with the Student Activities Office.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
• Enforce Minnesota State High School League and district policies.
• Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development and evaluation of assistant advisors.
• Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities including an emergency action plan.
• Recommend equipment, supplies and uniforms to the Director of Activities.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship; establish penalties for breaches.
• Attend, supervise and lead related activities pertinent to advising.
