Job summary

Mariana Bracetti Academy Charter School is seeking a Boys Head Wrestling Coach to lead a comprehensive program, ensure compliance with PIAA rules, and foster athletic and academic excellence among student-athletes.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication, with responsibility for attendance at league meetings, practice planning, and coordination with the Director of Student Athletics. This is a part-time position at the Senior Academy in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, concussion management and related certifications are required.
• PA clearances (Act 114, Act 34, Act 151) must be current.
• State-required trainings: mandated reporting, sexual misconduct disclosure, school safety.

Responsibilities

• Organize a comprehensive wrestling program in compliance with PIAA and school policies.
• Attend PIAA, PPL, and District 12 meetings; submit required forms.
• Communicate team policies to students and families at season start.
• Create and submit practice/game calendars to the Director of Student Athletics.
• Lead tryouts and roster decisions based on skill and team needs.
• Monitor student-athlete academics with weekly grade checks and support.
